Hey, everyone! It is early I know but here I am anyway. I was reading about all the faith talked about in Hebrews 11. Man, the Bible is full of people of faith--people who believed that God was way bigger than they could ever imagine. They put their WHOLE life in believing that God was present and in control, able to lead and guide them in the right directions.
What do you believe in and where is your faith today?
Here is my journal today>>>>>
Scripture Isaiah 19 ; Isaiah 20 ; Isaiah 21 ; Hebrews 11:40 (MSG) 40 God had a better plan for us: that their faith and our faith would come together to make one completed whole, their lives of faith not complete apart from ours.
Observation: All the examples of faith in this chapter of Hebrews is really somthing to think about when one is at the end of the rope or so disappointed in a situation or even seeing results of believing in things one can't see.
Application: I think about my faith in what God has called me to be. I get very discouraged from time to time when things are not going as "I" planned. I am a dreamer. I can look out into the future and see the finished product up and running--bringing people into relationship with Christ, feeding the hungry, bringing justice where it is not, relieving pain and suffering where ever possible. I can see all that, but (that terrible conjunction) it is the details I can't figure out. I have to look for someone to come along with me and help with the "details" to make the dream come true. When there is no one who will catch the spirit and put their faith in it then I get disappointed. But when I read Hebrews 11, I am reminded that I must still have faith that if God is in it--it will come to pass.
Prayer: Lord, help me to dream, but please help others come along with the dream and together make happen for your glory and the good of the kingdom. Love Stephen
Yieldedness: My faith must be in the presence of God and God's plan.
